Ravi Kumar Singh- Journey towards Health and Fitness

Ravi Kumar Singh- Journey towards Health and Fitness

2014, I was detected with Hypothyroidism with borderline cholesterol, and was weighing 104 Kg; I had all the reason to worry… Throughout I was athletic, national level football player (Played Dilip Trophy, represented Bihar from Ranchi team and later on Delhi University)… still I developed hypothyroidism.

I did not give up to the condition, kept doing some or the other physical work, very regular to gym; was hovering around 93-95 kgs, and was continued with the medication until 2021 February, when there was second wave of Covid-19 and gyms were closed and again I started gaining the weight… now I was at 97Kgs…

I thought, must do something, otherwise it will be very difficult for me, so I started morning walk; people were saying don’t go out, its very scary there is covid wave… I thought if I don’t do anything anyway I am killing myself… so I continued.

It was difficult to run, barely I was walking… however, I continued and after 1 week I ran for 10 minutes ( don’t know at what pace), I continued with this timing for 1 week, after 1 week I increased to 15 minutes and gradually per week I kept on increasing 5 minutes till I reached 1 Hr 30 minutes.

Now there is story of 1 Hr 30 minutes as well, there is famous sitcom ‘Kapil Sharma show’ where Anil Kapoor was the guest and Kapil asked him sir how are so fit at the age of 75 yrs, he simply replied I run for 1 and half hour daily, and this is how I got the target time.

Then rest is the history… now I am at 72 Kg, my vitals are superb, HbA1C 5, cholesterol 100, and HR is 54, what else you want.

Last year at Adani I finished HM at in 1 Hr 40 minutes that’s my PB.
